Prancing Horse was inspired by the simple act of making something for my grandson.
This piece marked my first exploration of animal form. Having primarily sculpted the human figure, it became an opportunity to expand my understanding of anatomy and movement. I focused on structure, balance, and form, from the tension in the lifted foreleg to the weight carried through the neck and chest.
It is both an exploration of strength in motion and a tangible reminder of the time and care invested in creating something for someone I love.
